Material , Printing and Production Process for Mylar Bags
Mylar bags are usually used for packaging flower, edibles etc cannabis products. Would you like to have a better understanding of mylar bags? Follow us and we will show you the details in 3 different aspects.
1.Material of Mylar Bags
For Mylar Bags, they are usually made up of 3 layers as below:
A, PE layer
This layer touches edible contents directly, it’s safe and harmless materials
B, VMPET layer
This layer is the middle layer, it’s aluminum coating material, prevent contents from direct sunlight and keep contents dry, usually we use VMPET in both sides, but if front side is with window, there is no aluminum foil.
C, PET or MOPP layer
This is the outermost layer, if the bag is glossy finish, the outside layer is PET material, if the bag is matte finish, the outside material is MOPP material.
2.Printing Process of Mylar Bags
As we know, the printing plate fees is based on plate quantity, the more printing plates, the more fees is needed. If the artwork is with 5 colors, 5 printing plates are needed. They will install 5 printing plates in printing machine, the materials will be printed according to the order of the installed printing plates, for example, first print black color, then yellow color, red color and blue color at last. Foil or UV are also printed in this step.
3.Process of making bag
A, Comfirm the design and other details ( artwork, finish of bag glossy or matte, hang hole needed? Tear spilt needed? Window?
B, Making moulds and order material at the same time (4-5days ) C, Printing the colors
D, Composit material ( glues will be used in this step, so it’s not environmental)
E, Put the material into dry house (2days)
F, Cutting the bags
G, QC checking finished bags
